Young, ambitious college student looking for more job experience in the plant discipline. I started my college career in Nashville at Belmont University where I studied Songwriting for a semester. I decided that was not where I wanted to be and music was something I wanted to continue on my own. I now attend EMCC as a Graphic Design major, hoping to gain some skills for a creative career. Along the way, I found a deep passion for plants that started a little over a year ago in Nashville when I bought a "plant your own tree kit" on clearance. When my tree (who I later named Oskar) finally sprouted, I know it sounds crazy, but it may have been the most proud I've ever felt. From there on, I've had a love for plants and watching them grow. Sadly, I had to leave Oskar with my roommate when I left. However, the summer after I came back from Nashville, I began a small collection of houseplants and even attempted growing some vegetables. When I moved up to Old Town this past August for school is when I really started diving into this love I had for plants. I began researching plants and visiting every plant shop near me, I couldn't get enough. I did my fair share of killing plants as well, but I only learned from that. Although I've only recently found this love and passion for plants, I've learned a lot in this short time and I know I'll be able to learn so much more if I could work in an environment with plants all around me with someone to teach me. I may not be a plant expert right now, but I plan on being one and this job would be a great stepping stone on that journey.
