Working as a funeral director student at Pat H. Foley and Company I had many duties such as; prepared death certificates and drafted obituaries, processed death certificates in a timely and accurate manner, and casketed and cosmetized the deceased in preparation for visitations and burials. With the help of the FDIC I was taught to completed and filed all necessary legal documentation, and to lead and direct funeral and graveside services. I also took part in arranging for clergy members to perform funeral services. Although Pat H. Foley worked with a removal company, I was fortunate to get to remove the deceased from the place of death and transported to the funeral home.
Led and supervised comprised of 15 employees utilizing machines, serving thousands of customers, and managed inventory. Under my direction my employees served over 1000 customers daily. Applied improved safety practices and friendlier customer service techniques that resulted in a great moving going experience for customers. Additional duties were payroll, writing procedures/orders and multi-tasking.
