SOU Outdoor Program Study Abroad 12 credit semester Nepal Developed service-based projects for mountain villagers and underprivileged children in the Himalayas. Outdoor Leadership skills used while backpacking the Mansula Circuit, and White Water Rafting on the Kali Gandaki River.
Fall, 2013 NOLS-Baja, Mexico 16 credit semester divided into three segments: backpacking, sailing, and sea kayaking. Course work included Biology, Leadership Skills, Environmental Studies, Risk and Skills Assessment. Interacted with locals in the communities and became familiar with their culture, lifestyle, food system, ranching, and fishing.
Studied for two years at Lyndon State College and then transferred to Southern Oregon University.
