JA
FIREFIGHTER
Objective

To obtain a Permanent Firefighter 2 position in CAL FIRE Butte Unit for the remainder of the fire season of 2020. I am extremely interested in acquiring a Firefighter II position here for the upcoming season. With my highly motivated personality and my aptitude for accelerated learning this will allow me the opportunity to master my trade as a Firefighter. Employment in this new rank will help me to better understand our responsibility change from first and foremost, protecting the water shed and private timberlands, to protecting the citizens, their homes, infrastructure and improvements throughout our department. Obtaining a firefighter II position here will expedite this goal and give me the freedom to put my technical training, education, and experience to use in new environments, unfamiliar seasons and the constantly changing circumstances.

Summary

Sharp and focused Firefighter proudly offering over 7 years' experience with Cal Fire Siskiyou Unit. Excelling in speaking with the public about fire safety as well as responding to various types of emergency situations. I'm seen as a determined professional known for thoroughly inspecting fire apparatus and maintaining equipment daily. Offering outstanding communication and active listening skills. As a dextrous and diligent Fireman promoting an extensive background in fitness, and emergency medical response coupled with fire suppression techniques, I believe I possess the skills needed to be a valued member of a highly effective team. Looking to tackle new challenges with an organization that appreciates an employee with great integrity and reliability. Growing up in Southern California gave me the opportunity to not only live in, but also work within such a culturally diverse area. Moving up to Siskiyou County and starting a family has been the pinnacle of my life thus far, but being born and raised in Orange County I feel has given me such an advantage of understanding all of the variety and divergence that the State of California has to offer.
