Perform initial interviews of prospective students to explain the federal student aid pertinent information and eligibility requirements
Request and collect necessary information/documentation from students and/or parents to clear any discrepancies
Respond to all questions from students and/or parents accurately and truthfully
Follow-up with students on any outstanding documents needed, work with Student Advisors and Admissions Representatives to ensure that all documents are received and completed
Perform Entrance Counseling to fully explain all aspects of student loans and responsibility obligations
Review with students their Master Promissory Note to ensure that rights and responsibilities are fully understood
Assist prospective students and parents in enrolling for a PIN through FAFSA website
Create, present and review with the students the Award letter indicating how tuition is to be paid through grants and loans
Discuss and coordinate with student the preparation of an institutional gap loan for which Title IV funds do not cover total tuition costs
Perform a quality assurance review of all documents collected
Counsel students regarding the implications on the financial aid process, responsibilities and obligations as a student loan borrower
Assist the Director of Online Financial Aid in audit preparation of Student Financial Aid Files
Schedule, re-schedule and confirm appointments with customers
Answer the telephone and customers inquiries
Take inventory of supplies and place order for supplies needed
Maintain reception area clean and presentable
Drop off at school and pick up after school
Assist with homework
Take to visit the library
Take trips to the park for outdoor activities
