Dependable, hard-working Field Service Technician with nearly 3 years of experience in Telecommunications. Extensive background in DC power and telecom equipment installation. Proficient in solving complex problems. Quick learner with the desire to grow skills.
Worked in the Telecommunications Industry for nearly 3 years. Worked for Verizon, Windstream, and Suddenlink as well as utility companies such as Entergy and other localized companies. Tasked with the installation of backup battery DC power in +24v and -48v systems. Planned work and determined appropriate tools and equipment. Installed the power plants which would be powered by the AC power wires that we installed as well. Used measuring instruments to insure that all correct connections were being made. Batteries could be wet cells or VRLAs which are filled with lead and acid and would weigh anywhere from 50lbs to 200lbs or more. Installed super structure which includes ladder rack to run cables, grounding, and power on top of. Stitched all wires and cables to ladder rack and J-hooks. Worked overtime, including evenings and weekends, to respond to emergencies and fix unsafe conditions.
Worked on repairing the skin for Blackhawks. Whether it be the metal or fiberglass skin, there are most always rivets involved that need replacing. The repair can end up anywhere on the Blackhawk. With damages to stringers and framework there would be a filler made where the damage is. This involves crafting a piece of metal that is up to standard with edge distance. This would go for any filler equal to the hole in the skin. Safety is one of the most important things taught in the Army which means safety glasses and hearing protection and the appropriate outfit depending on what tools were being used. Conducted corrosion control on the aircraft by putting Proseal on different metals such as the rivets and the skin. Alodine would also be soaked on the metal to prevent corrosion.
Installed and tested telecommunications equipment such as LTE coaxial cable and AWS coaxial cable for our customer Verizon Wireless. Installed the grounding halo inside the shelter that would be installed with a crew of two people. Installed halo grounding rings in the ground around the shelter and/or tower. Completed an OSHA training course in Construction Safety and Health.
Required to take care of orders that would go out for delivery on the 18-wheeler. Organized the orders that were made for the customer would pick up. Organization was key because the orders would need to be consistently updated from week to week.
