8 years of farm management on an organic farm in the Applegate Valley has not only provided me with valuable farming skills and practices, but also has taught me the importance of teamwork, and how to lead a team. I'm big on work morale, and always bring a good attitude to work.
My good work ethic, and initiative was instilled in me at a young age, for two years I worked at Three Rivers Tree Service. I was required to be at work at the crack of dawn, I drove heavy machinery and ran a chainsaw. I quickly learned how to be a responsible employee and how important it is to work hard, the work was not easy but I'm grateful for it today.
In 2010 I graduated from Rogue Community College with a Associate degree. Being a student at RCC really helped mold the person I have become today. I graduated with a 3.5 G.P.A. and plan on continuing my education in the communication field.
As a youth I earned the prestiges rank of Eagle Scout in one of our local scout troops. As patrol leader I was responsible for leading the meetings, I also began learning the dynamics of successfully working as a team. Planning troop events and meetings was the responsibility of a handful of elected leaders, being one of these throughout most of my scouting career has provided me with the ability to work on a team not only as the leader, but also under a leader.
I was responsible to manage anywhere from five to ten people at a time, put together watering and fertilizing schedules, have experience planting and transplanting, in insect identification, plant maintenance and soil building.
I hauled large amounts of brush, moved heavy rounds of wood, ran a chainsaw, drove large trucks, worked around dangerous equipment, learned some basic mechanical skills, I even climbed a few trees.
I had to learn how to correctly clean a window without leaving any streaks. I picked it up quickly and worked for this company for a summer. I required to clean windows sometimes 30ft up on a latter.
I washed dishes, helped out with some prep cooking and worked on the equipment when needed.
