Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, production literally came to a halt and I had to take a layoff in April.

I left mining to start my own business for 12 years hauling coal with my own trucks. Sold business to get back into underground mining for the great work environment, job security, and to finish my career in underground coal mining. I currently work as an underground contractor with certifications on scoop, Jloader, Lowtrac, and roof bolting at #4 mine on 8 section for Gizmo/Jason Lee/Greg Ison/Keith Foster/Tiny. Worked until strike then got moved to Oak Grove.
