Create and promote monthly op-eds to Members and spouses as part of an awareness campaign. Plan and direct signature annual awards luncheon recognizing a Congressional spouse, journalist and cancer champion; past recipients include Elizabeth Edwards, Robin Roberts and Scott Hamilton. Held in Cannon Caucus each September, the invitation only event draws an audience of 180 including more than 30 Members of Congress, the Sergeant at Arms, House Chaplain and Attending Physician. Developed "Lunch and Learn" educational seminar series for spouses and Members on Capitol Hill, featuring leading medical, communications and policy experts.
