The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, are responsible for ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and maintains continuous up-time. Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians constantly maintain high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum, and also drives innovation to reduce operational costs.
The Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians are first to respond to all hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They maintain, operate, and troubleshoot Data Center Operation's Mission Critical Facilities, which includes stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phase electrical systems that include but are not limited to switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, wet cell batteries and associated systems, CRACs, centrifugal chillers, water chemical system, AHUs and associated systems, pumps, & motors. Writes and performs all preventative and corrective maintenance items throughout the Data Center.
Nuclear Machinist Mates aboard U.S. Naval vessels are required to qualify and maintain qualification of several watch stations, starting promptly after being stationed to a ship. Along with requirements of qualification, they are expected to complete preventative and corrective maintenance items as per the determined maintenance schedules established by their specific work centers, all while upholding the core values and beliefs of the United States Navy on and off the ship.
Nuclear Machinist Mate trainees complete a rigorous, highly technical, and time intensive 2 year training program to become a qualified Nuclear Machinist Mate. The course encompasses a large variety of materials and curriculum in a condensed time frame.
