Planned for and taught the BCPS 4th grade math curriculum to two sections of students that encompassed a wide range of learners. Emphasis placed on designing lessons to incorporate the Standards of Mathematical Practice and to differentiate instruction for a heterogeneous group of students. Designed math center rotations that included opportunities for small group instruction, practice of skills and problem solving, student choice of math games/learning videos, and math journals to develop the explain/justify students' mathematical reasoning. Conducted ongoing assessments to allow for fluid and flexible student groupings. Maintained comprehensive, accurate, and anecdotal records. Communicated with parents on a routine basis through e-mails, daily planners, class website, conferences, REMIND.com, phone calls, and school sponsored events such as Orientation, Back to School Night, Family Learning Night, STEM information night, STEM night, and Spring Showcase.
Implemented the 4th Grade BCPS Science Curriculum to two sections of students. Provided instruction to all students on the scientific process involved in the annual STEM Fair competition where Woodholme had 100% student participation.

Learned and applied the Prealgebra 7 curriculum to 20 students whose MSA scores ranged from 388 to 485, including 35% of these students who were English Language Learners. Set the tone, rules, expectations, and classroom procedures at the beginning of the school year. Completed the quarter 1 interims and quarter grades. Held quarter 1 parent conferences.
