May 2004 to September 20048TH US Army IMODuties, Accomplishments and Related Skills: Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Director/Head IT and Information Systems and immediate supervision of the Helpdesk Analyst, the incumbent will be the focal point for implementing day-to-day secretarial and administrative issues in the IT and Information Systems. The incumbent will: 1. Provide first-level help-desk analysis on IT and IS related problems; attend to Helpdesk requests and log all calls to the problem log database, follow-up of logs, resolution of problems and documentation of solutions and produce regular log reports. 2. Prepare and monitor various lists such as monthly leave report, inventory of software and hardware, etc. 3. Provide backup to the Telephone receptionists during absence and out of hours. 4. Provide guidance to users on the use of standard software packages, including word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics, electronics faxing, scanning, Internet, Intranet etc. 5. Type various correspondences in English, proof-read reports by checking both spelling and grammar, help in the preparation of Excel sheets and PowerPoint presentations. 6. Request information on IT equipment, prepare requisitions in the absence of the HelpDesk Analyst, and follow up on all IT procurement. Maintain IT Project status. 7. Assist with system housekeeping and usability testing of new software applications. 8. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
