Williams High School in Alexandria, VA for two years. As the Education and Outreach Specialist for e-Learning and Emerging Technologies at Montgomery County Public Libraries, I have identified and integrated educational technologies into face-to-face and web-based learning opportunities. I have developed strategies for the library's next generation of information services, implementing and coordinating systems projects. I am in search of my next Instructional Designer challenge with a company looking to enhance and implement an online education model.
As the Tutoring and Leadership Program Coordinator for the Building Better Futures Program at the Campagna Center, I coordinated and co-directed support programs for at-risk ESL students at T.C. Williams High School. The purpose of the program was to provide Latino at-risk students the support and services needed to succeed in school and focus on college. My proudest accomplishments include: Initiating and implementing the College Leadership Program (CLP) and Latinas Empowered to Achieve their Potential (LEAP) Program providing tutoring and mentoring for college-bound students; in 2010, the program served 82 students which increased to 139 students in 2011, a 59% increase; Designed and directed a summer program for Building Better Futures at-risk students which continues to be part of their curriculum today.
