Project BEST (Better Eye-Health Services and Treatment) Eye Screening: Assisted in community eye screening in the areas of setup, registration and screening. CBVI'S A SHORE Thing Program: While assisting with SHORE I helped to carry on educational programs related to community eye health services. Also, I worked closely with clients who have loss of sight from diabetes, and age related Macular Degeneration, Retinitis Pigmentosa and various other eye conditions.
New Jersey CBVI SHARP (Student Hands-On Alternatives Re-enforcement Project) Program 2016: A three week program for children with vision impairment, ages six through thirteen, to acquire and practice blindness skills in the areas of Braille, assistive technology and independent living, including orientation and mobility. Many of the children had other disabilities as well as their blindness or visual impairment.
