I was employed at Bar-S Foods for three years as a Line Mechanic in the Hot Dogs side of the plant. I maintained a line that is primarily mechanical, electrical and a little electronics. I was also the welder on my shift where I became proficient in TIG Welding. Troubleshooting and the reading of blueprints was an everyday occurance for me. The plant was having a problem with excess waste, so I came up with a design to fix the problem. My efforts allowed the company to save an estimated $100,000.00 dollars still to this day.
Rebuilt AC/DC motors and re-wound them. Repaired power tools and Lincoln welders. I was sent to Lincoln Welding School in Ohio where I was certified to repair there welders.
