Mortgage Loan Officer08/2011 to 08/2012First Community MortgageGreensboro, NC
Passed the Federal and NC State licensing exams on first attempt. Immediately transitioned from Lead Development to Loan Officer. Became responsible for the sale of the loan, application process, loan package submittal, resolution of underwriting issues, and closing the loan with the help of a processor. I provided a great service that benefited the financial well being of every client. Interest rates were at record lows and 90% of my business involved a refinance. My first client was my mother and I saved her 8 years of payments on her mortgage without increasing the payment. Good stuff. First Community was a small shop and there were issues between the owners of a personal nature that hurt the company. I resigned in August 2012 to take a job with Identity Branding after my best month ever turned to dust in front of my eyes. The new loan processor had lied on her application about her experience, made mistakes in every loan package she touched, was confronted, and quit the next day by leaving a letter. None of my 2.5 million in loan volume closed. The company closed it's doors a couple of months later.
Lead Development Specialist04/2011 to 08/2011First Community MortgageGreenboro, NCIn house mortgage lead development was my sole responsibility. Worked with a dialing software suite to call leads in certain states with a recent mortgage application on their credit report. I passed hot leads directly to in house Loan Officers. The purpose was to offer a them a better deal than the other guy. At first, I would get 5 or 6 people to agree to a quote in a 4 hour period. Four months later, I was getting as many as 25 hot leads in that same period of time. It was highly beneficial to the company. The three loan officers closed an average of 10 extra sales a month from my leads. I was studying for my license at the time and could not wait to work with that kind of sales support.
