08/1999 － 10/2000
Hours per week: 18 Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills: In August of 1999, I was asked to attend Interest Based Bargaining (IBB) training because I was both a county office employee and working with (legacy FmHA) FLP program 80% of my time and Administration 20% of the time.
The IBB training was for the purpose of negotiating between different levels of the agency and to see how a Partnership Council could work.
The mission of the ND State Partnership Council was to strive for better service to public and improve working conditions for employees through communication and consensus decision making instead of power.
We identified problems and issues that needed improvement and then brainstormed over them.
Communication verbally and written were necessary for obtaining ideas for problem solving solutions to better serve the agency and our customers.
Each issue was addressed and memorandums of Understanding were written to be signed by the Union and Management to make into policy.
