I have a background in many types of construction. I started working with concrete, framing, and roofing first. I then attended a trade school and got my degree in electrical technology. After working in the electrical field for a few years I took and received my Journeyman License. I then decided to join the Marine Corps, because the military was always a dream of mine. Now that I am out of the Marines, I have been working on my degree in biological sciences.
I was awarded the good conduct medal because of my work ethic, and avoiding trouble, and I was also awarded several acknowledgments for leading and completing the disassembly of all of the Radar gear in Iraq.
Passed my Journeyman's test in my first try.
I started off as a private first class, and my job included setting up and monitoring the radar system. Also included in my duties were maintenance of the area, machinery, and the radar. As I picked up rank more responsibility, I was given more responsibility. I was responsible for a team of junior marines. I made sure they were receiving the proper training, and working diligently.
Phase Electric was a small commercial and residential electric company. The kind of electrical work was completely wiring houses, wiring a pizza restaurant, and installed an x-ray machine in a hospital. My responsibility was to look at plans and decide how to efficiently wire the building, while keeping costs low.
The Bradbury Company is a company that makes steel rollformers, and other metal forming machines. These are large industrial metal shaping machines. They required a lot of knowledge in motor controls, PLC programs, and ladder diagrams. I was responsible for following the plans, running the rigid conduit, and trouble shooting the machines when they were completed.
I also received my Journeyman's License while i attended.
I am still attending MiraCosta, and working on my Associates Degree in Biology.
