Experienced professional who has worked in the wellness/fitness industry for over 30 years. Starting out my passion as an Aerobics instructor in the late 1980's, working at a Women's Only Gym, Jack la Lanne, Family Fitness Center before the name change over to 24 hour fitness. Continued teaching fitness classes while attending college in San Diego and instructed at most of the military installation gyms while on active duty. While in the military, worked with the Army Physical Readiness Training program, coaching, guiding and mentoring soldiers who had trouble passing the Army Fitness Readiness Test. As an RN, I have studied nutrition and health, which adds value to my role in the health/wellness industry. Aware of the benefits of healthy eating, exercise and weight. Working in cardiac care as a specialty, I have a been witness to the impact that poor nutrition, health and inactivity has on the cardiac system. Through personal health, diet and fitness there is prevention of the onset of heart disease and diabetes. I am a believer in leading through education and encouragement!
