My responibilities as a cook were to insure quality of product I was using, accurately measure and prep items I was to cook and prepare meals for about 250 guests a day. As a cook I followed all food handling, sanitation and safety guidelines for my work area. I was relied upon to train new employees and traveled to other VA's to cover their personnel shortages.

In the past 6 years as a Food Service worker I have consistently performed the duties associated with my respective grade and a step up. I have been relied upon to serve in the position of Acting Supervisor for various time spans up to 2 weeks. I have checked diet trays for accuracy, attractiveness and completeness with no critical errors. I utilizes proper sanitation work practices on a daily basis, I follow verbal and written direction very well and need minimal to no supervision. My efforts have been successful as evidenced by my "outstanding" and "fully successful" employee appraisal ratings.
