Healing Strides is a Community Service Organization, which strives to
strengthen disabled children by teaching them to horseback ride.
-I taught and worked in Managua, Nicaragua last summer. Cristo Rey is a community built on the dumps outside Managua, the capital. The families there make their living off of material they find out on the dumps. I went on a mission trip to teach and play with the children who live there with their families, as well as cooking for them.
-I speak English and Icelandic fluently. I also speak conversational Danish and German.
-Previously I have studied 5 years of violin, and am on my 4th year of Piano lessons. I also play guitar and drums.
-This year, I have visited 10 different countries in my teen and adult life, as well as having taught Music and English in 3 of them, Nicaragua, Denmark and Finland.
-I am a part of the Pacific Opera Theater Program in the Conservatory, we perform a fully-staged Opera every spring.
-I am currently getting a Certification of First Aid training from the American Health Care Academy.
