Third generation farmer/rancher. We run a mostly dry land, no-till farm along with a minimal till center pivot operation. Also a two thousand head feedlot, along with a combined cow herd of approximately 130 head, that includes my Registered Red Angus Cow herd.
Operated both John Deere, and Case IH Combine, stripper heads, ridge, flex and draper styles. Often tasked with communicating with land owners and tenants, as well as local coop managers, and their employees.
This was my first Job and most likely my last Job. On the farm side I'm tasked with operating the planter and drills, I am the sole operator of our sprayer, and operating the combine. I am also responsible for billing on custom hire work we pick up. Through the feedlot my tasks involve book keeping for the feedlot, the monthly billing is done solely by me I created a billing format using Microsoft excel. Ordering medicine and supplies as well as arranging Veterinary appointments.
In 2015, I took it upon myself to branch out into the seed stock business. I have grown into a 32 head registered Red Angus herd. My focus is strong maternal traits with performance. Fine tuning this herd is truly a passion of mine something I take great pride in.
