After 18 years as a business owner, I have acquired a wide range of qualifications to meet daily business needs. Running a day to day operation I meet all the requirements of this customer service representative position. Assisting customers, working with suppliers, communicating with the public on a daily basis.
This business served as a manufacturer of bedding and pillows to two of the three local RV manufacturers. At our peak we employed up to 20 personnel. In addition our customer base extended to Interior Designers, walk in traffic and Internet customers.
I was able to flawlessly meet a production schedule on a weekly basis, coordinating with suppliers for needed materials and assigning work load to various employees.
My duties were:
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: interviewing, negotiating compensation, training, maintaining employee records, evaluating performance and occasionally terminating employment.
GENERAL BUSINESS RESPONSABILITIES: correspond in verbal and written form with customers and employees. General bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, receivable and organizing data for the accountant. Made certain all business activity was in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Developed and chaired required safety committee. Coordinated communication with local and surrounding area community. Created advertisement in the media and on the internet.
PRODUCTION: Coordinated all departments to meet high production standards in fulfilling work orders. I was personally responsible for the cutting department which cut all the fabric, quilting of bedspreads and making sure all goods were available.
SOCIAL NETWORKING: Attended city council meetings on a consistent basis. Participate in Junction City Chamber of Commerce functions. I am currently on the Junction City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and am on the Junction City Design Committee.
We currently have a Retail, Fabric & Collectibles Store with a custom workroom where we continue to manufacture home decor products for the remaining RV manufacturer, local interior designers, motor home customers and the general public.
Ensuring daily newspaper delivery by contracting carriers in my district. Maintaining accurate accounts of carriers and their sales. Problem solving with customers and carriers for satisfied delivery. Delegated responsibilities to my district helper. Consistently had open communication with management.
This part time position was instrumental in assisting customers with starting and stopping the newspaper, addressing customer inquiries on policies, some problem solving, some driving assistance to a District Manager.
