I aspire to work in a funeral home as an embalmer. I started working as a bus boy/waitress at fifteen, and then at seventeen I started working as a nursing assistant. I plan to start taking courses for a degree in mortuary science and cosmetology.
I bathe the residents, dress them, brush their teeth, put skin treatments on the residents, pass out meal trays and feed residents, walk residents, and provide continence/incontinence care.
My job duties where to clean residents' rooms, shower residents', help cook and pass out dinner, sign for medicine that was being dropped off from the pharmacy, pass out medicine, give insulin shots, change catheter bags, put residents to bed, and chart on the residents' behaviors of my shift.
My job tasks included getting guests menus, drink orders, rolls, meal orders, cleaning up the dishes, and at the end of the shift I would vacuum the floors of the restaurant.
I received my CNA/GNA training here and my CPR training here.
I have taken various different classes at this institution. The following are my credited classes: Sociology 110, English 101, and Psychology 101.
