I have worked as a Clerk Typist III at AJH since August of 2003. I have worked for the District since 10/1988, first as a Bilingual Instructional Aide for 11 years and Community Liaison for 3 years. Working closely together and as a back up to School Office Manager and office staff in general. I know the responsibilities an Office Manager has. In 2006 I had hands on experience covering the Office Manager position for about 4 months from February to June, with the assistance of a retired Office Manager and Mrs. Everling coming in a couple of days a month. I am outgoing and always willing to help. I am a self-motivated multi tasker, willing to learn in fast paced working environment. I worked under the supervision and directive of a teacher with small groups of mainly English Learning students. I worked in all k-6 grades levels in my 11 years at Adam School. Translated to students directions on what they needed to work on and assisted students in any subject they needed help with. Had small reading groups. Translated documents and homework assignments for teacher and students. Assisted in office when needed and translated Parent/Teacher Conferences.
At Golden State School I received training in the General Business/Clerical area. We learned data entry, 10 Key, shorthand, typing and practiced general office skills.
I attended West Hills College for one and a half years. I took General Education and Business Classes.
