  • Responsible for the organization, filing, scanning and logging of High Volume of unpaid claim correspondence into excel and researching unpaid claims, by contacting insurance companies to resolve and collect unpaid balances.
  • Responsible for receiving and fulfilling High Volume Medical record requests.
  • Process month end reports and check for accuracy.
  • Review charges that have not been billed properly.
  • Confirm patient demographic, insurance and referring physician information is accurately entered into practice management system.
  • Confirm insurance verifications and authorizations, as required.
  • Respond to audit findings and make applicable coding additions or corrections.
  • Enter all CPT and ICD-9 coding into practice management system timely and accurately for code capture.
  • Confirm all documentation required for coding is complete and meets required regulations.
  • Update practice management system patient\'s account notes with any changes made to patient information or as otherwise dictated by company policy and procedure.
  • Complete a denial notification when payments are denied.
  • Other duties as assigned or directed.


BILLING CLERK TREATMENT MANAGEMENT , LLC - STUART, FL 07/2015 - 09/2015
  • Independently coordinated and accounted for the processing and documentation of all billing of Clinical services (Individual, Group and Family therapy) , Mental Health and Medical services provided to clients through The Sunshine Doctors Group.
  • Responsible for retrieving and logging of all data received from clinicians and medical staff at facility documenting service.
  • Reviewing data provided by medical assistants and coders for accuracy and maintained on excel spreadsheet.
  • Daily entering data accurately into billing system, verifying client demographics and service codes.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining paper charts in compliance with (DCF) and entering all confidential data in electronic medical records system ( KIPU).
  • Responsible for all Sunshine Doctor group mail, insurance correspondence, payment posting and researching billing company inquisitions and prepared packets documenting provided services.

MEDICAL RECORDS CLERK THE SPINE CENTER - P.B.G., FL 10/2014 - 03/2015
  • Responsible for overseeing daily operations of medical records department Assuring all functions are carried out in a productive and timely manner.
  • Maintaining completeness, accuracy and confidentiality of medical records by ensuring compliance with the department's policies and procedures.
  • Filing of loose documentation into the paper medical record  Retrieval of paper charts. Filing of paper charts, Assisting physicians with paper chart completion.
  • Responsible for the processing medical records document requests and subpoenas, reviewing the records for accuracy, data entry, converting forms to PDF and uploading to the EMR system also responsible for documenting missing or incomplete data in the record and reporting to Administrator.

  •  Request and return paper records from off-site storage as applicable. Retrieves and prints medical records from microfilm (as applicable). Processes facility specific medical request mail as applicable.  Understand the importance of and Guidelines set by HIPAA in handling confidential patient  information and/or medical records.
