NC 16 New Location: A new location, 4 lane divided highway with interchanges, grade separations, and at grade intersections.
NC 191 Widening: Widened an existing 2 lane road to a 4 lane divided facility with at grade intersections and median crossovers. Collaborated with Biltmore Estates and United States Postal Service.
NC 150 Widening: Helped prepare functional and preliminary designs to widen an existing 2 lane road to a 4 lane divided with multiple median widths, interchange, at grade intersections, lake crossings, and synchronized streets.
I-77 Rest Area: Prepared the roads and parking areas of a new rest area located in the median of I-77.
Bridge Replacement Projects: Designed multiple bridge replacement projects across the state, from simple road closure replacements to complicated replacements needing traffic maintenance during construction.

MicroStation and GEOPAK civil engineering design software and drawing tools to
plan and design roadway projects for construction in accordance with project
planning decisions and documents.
Communicated and coordinated with other units during the design process
to ensure that the final plans were complete.
Prepared construction cost estimates for a variety of roadway design
projects. Supervised and trained engineers and technicians during the roadway design process. Coordinated with and assisted field and
division personnel to ensure all projects were designed and constructed to be
safe, economic, and user friendly.
Collaborated with the general public, property and business owners at public
meetings and on a daily basis to address their questions and

North Carolina Department of TransportationRaleigh, NCRoadway Design TechnicianAssisted in preparing functional, preliminary, right of way, and final roadway plans by computing horizontal and vertical alignments, preliminary and final quantities and estimates, preparing hearing maps, and assisting and checking the work of others. Prepared and drafted all of the various sheets necessary for a complete set of plans both by hand and CADD. Coordinated with members of my group and other units during the design process. Worked with GEOPAK and MicroStation extensively. Prepared letters and kept up with project schedules using Microsoft Office products.
