Working with children is what I've always done and what I do best. I've babysat and nannied for 8 years and worked/volunteered in children's/youth ministry for 3 years. I am very good at taking charge of a room filled with kids, while making it fun for everyone. I love to teach as well, making children known of Jesus Christ and all he's done for us is so vital, it's building blocks for their life and I enjoy teaching them about it. I'm very determined and a perfectionist when it comes to tasks. Big groups of kids don't stress me out, I'm pretty calm and I love to help other leaders learn how to manage and teach the kids, helping them in any way possible. I'm a very friendly, outgoing, easy to get along with employee and coworker.
While I attended college at Hillsong in Australia, this was my first time getting fully immersed into children's and youth ministry. I was first given tasks small such as organizing, making crafts, and etc. but after my first 6 months, I was given the opportunity to start preaching to kids of many different age groups, which is scarce for college students there.
Also, became a leader for a Thursday sisterhood gathering for the kid's programs.
This was a volunteer position where I taught children about who Jesus is, all that he's done for us and what we can do while here on Earth. I made and organized crafts for Thursday and Sunday services, while also doing small and mundane tasks. After showing loyalty with the smaller things, I was given the opportunity to preach weekly to a variety of different age groups. I showed children that church is a safe and fun environment and built many relationships with the children and their families.
I nanny two children, three days a week. I teach the children about positive behavior and everyday things along with incorporating Jesus and faith into it somehow.
