Provide the Rockaway United Coalition with the direction to formulate a policy of recommendations that will indicate how to utilize the Block Grant for the current and future needs of the Rockaway community. This policy was sent to the Mayor's office, Federal, and State task force.
Conducted and assisted the administrative team in the Father's Resource Fair, which took place in two NYC Administration of Children's Services (ACS) offices. I reached out to multiple community based leaders within the Bronx county and invited them to participate in the fair, not only to provide Child Protective Specialist (CPS) workers with information on services, but also to show the fathers that they have support within their communities. This fair changed many of the CPS' casework practices in regards to including the fathers as one of the key players in helping the children & youth that are served.
