Implemented three new state-wide programs: Fund to Cure Stroke, Medical School on the Road, and Annual Dinner honoring Lou Gehrig with Phi Delta Theta of University of Arkansas. Assisted annually with MS Rampy Triathlon in Bentonville. A percentage of all these program donations were given to UAMS COM.
Worked closely with Dr. G. Richard Smith to organize, develop, and implement a successful $32.8 million capital campaign to build the Psychiatric Research Institute.
Planned and implemented the 5-day opening of the Psychiatric Research with guests, speakers and VIP's attending from throughout the United States.
Organized and maintained the donor base for the campaign.
Cultivated and managed multiple major donors over a decade with planned gifts and/or pledge with multiple projects.
Began working with UAMS as a volunteer when the initial plans for making PRI a reality were beginning to be discussed. As a volunteer, I helped organize supporters through state-wide fundraisers.
Served as President of the PRI Board of Advisors -- group of 20 state-wide leaders working to raise funds for the Psychiatric Research Institute and providing mental illness education throughout the State.
Assisted in the organization of Beautiful Minds -- a monthly meeting of women to educate others about mental health issues.
