I started working for Taco Bell at 16. This was a good first job but after 5 years I wanted a job with merit. A friend told me about the medical assisting program with ACC. She was making decent money and it wasn't fast food so I wanted to be apart of it. To me it was the quickest way out. I've come to learn that I don't want a desk job. I want to be actively working and not staring at a computer for 8 hours. After thinking about it for a while and talking to some CDL drivers and seeing what their jobs entail, I knew that is what I want to do. I would be happy driving a truck until retirement. So I started saving money for a CDL class when a co-worker told me her boyfriend worked for International Aviation Services, and that they help with training. When I worked at Taco Bell I was motivated by money but at this point it's about doing something I enjoy. I think International Aviation Services is a good fit for me because being around aircraft is awesome and driving a truck skillfully is the best feeling.
