In the past, I worked closely with the Pharmacist in my career at a retail pharmacy. I learned valuable skills and knowledge. I have retained these skills and knowledge throughout the years and used them to help me throughout the years as a mother of two special needs children and with prescriptions given to my family. I can read medical terms and shorthand along with knowing the difference between formulary and non-formulary for insurance tiers and the difference between generic and non-generic, including both names for medications. I always keep an updated PDR in my household so I know ALL side effects of medications and can increase my knowledge about what each medication may be used for. I am also known as an empathetic and intuitive person during interactions with clients. In every career field I have been in, this has always been the case. I adept at building trust and strong customer relations. I am also quick to master new technologies and information systems. In conclusion, I have always been interested in furthering my career in the pharmaceutical field. I was a stay at home mother for several years but, now that my children are older, I am looking to further my career now and expand my knowledge in this area. I have tried several other fields of study while younger but none have been as rewarding as helping others when they need guidance and counsel to achieve optimum health. I hope to further my education and knowledge so that I may be part of a team that provides essential help to those in need.
