Worked at Vintage Inc. Elderly Center located in East Pittsburgh. Created a program that allowed me to analyze the Alzheimer's patients and evaluate their level of thinking, also stimulated their mines by exposing them with current society changes. Worked in the elderly home affiliated with Vintage Inc. located a few blocks from the center. Sat with the clients here while manager went on errands and other personal outings. Took the clients on trips and worked directly with their personal Social Workers. Administered medicine and made schedules for the clients that wanted to participate in taking care of the home.
Currently work a 5:30 am shift. Responsible for getting client ready for work this involves giving all medicine bathing, grooming, and feeding before client begins their day of work. Client has to be at work by 7:30a so punctuality is important.

Covered several positions while working at AT&T. Answered all calls that had anything to do with billing on long distance, calling card, and relay calls, Internet service as well as phone rental. Worked on an independent team for two years, the entire team worked without management. We took turns managing ourselves and was compensated for our efforts. Worked on a complaint team as well, here we took over calls from irate customers that needed to speak with someone that had a more knowledge and authority to retain irate customers. Learned to defuse customers and satisfy their needs while on a call.
Cover the front end of the store worked with scheduling all employees for a two week period. Helped customers with returns, lottery, rain checks and many complaints. Placed orders for tobacco products and balanced the workers tills. Learned organizational skills and to be sensitive to other peoples issues.
Worked as an aide in this personally owned nursing home. Learned how to converse with elderly people that had serious illnesses. Got hands on training of how to provide them with comfort. Helped with their medicine, and daily chores. Got a chance to find out about their personal life by speaking with them one on one. This was my first experience working with the elderly and I learned a lot from speaking with them, about their family and friends and any memories that they had. Whatever they wanted to speak about I listened.
