I first started off working at Rave Cinemas movie theater at the Franklin Park Mall where I worked in concessions, box office and the QSR stand. It was customer service and I handled everything from money, food, drinks, candy, and tickects. We had to upsell to customers and we also had mystery shoppers and if we did everything right with the mystery shopper we got rewards for it. I worked there for three years. After working at the movie theaters I worked at Target, a retail and customer service job. I worked the front end where I greeted customers, I was a cashier and rung up merchandise, made returns, processed pictures in the photo lab, answered the phone, got customers to apply for credit cards and I would often make hard and soft line returns to the floor. I did that job for four years. My next job was working at The Toledo Hospital in Enviromental Services and I was assighned to the Labor & Delivery floor (loved seeing the babies). My job was to clean and restock delivery rooms, O.R. suites, doctors sleep areas, family waiting rooms and restrooms. I then worked with a cleaning company at Faurecia, a car exhaust factory. I did that for about a year then I got into the childcare field working for a company called Educare. I went from being a substitute teacher to a float where I worked in every room and I worked with infants, toddlers, preschool, and grade school. And in between all of that I find time to make cakes for friends and family!
I was only there for a brief moment.
I first started making and decorating cakes in my own home for family and friends. They would give me a cake theme and I would go to work and the cakes came out really good. And not only do they look good but they taste good as well!
