I worked for the minority caucus in the Missouri State capitol, serving under Senator Joseph Keaveny (D). Here
I developed skills in managing office work, as well as getting the
opportunity to sit in on committee hearings and develop press releases
for the office. I was able to watch bills move from drafting, to debate,
to passage over the course of the session and gained valuable
experience in understanding state government.I was also given
the opportunity to review state budget sheets, responding to
constituents, and in doing some of my own research for the minority
caucus to use on the debate floor.
