|I started work as a apprentice @ central valley truck center (now affinity truck center), I was taught by the then head gm tech which I then replaced once accredited via the GM asep program via Marty kamimoto. I am very knowledgeable of the gm duramax engine platform and also the isuzu trucks. I worked on Volvo and mack trucks as well as other makes. I did Volvo and mack training @ the dealership for Volvo trucks, impco propane systems and bi-phase technology propane systems.
Welding skills are also required for many of the duties needed to work on vehicles and equipment and I have taken some welding skills classes and regularly weld to continue refining these skills. I currently repair many of the hardened arms on the refuse trucks @ city of clovis in my current job as well as making repairs to the bodies of the refuse vehicles and other general welding. When I was hired I was able to bring my knowledge of GM vehicles and the city also got the required computer software to diag and maintain vehicles.
When I was @ affinity truck I was trained in the cleaning of dpf units for re-installation onto customers trucks. I also am trained on Cummins and Caterpillar motors and regularly work on the wide variety of Cummins engines in the city of clovis's fleet.
