I am currently a senior bottle line technician for the largest bottling facility in Mendocino county. I am responsible for the daily startup of three bottling lines as well as diagnose, repair, and perform the regular maintenance of these machines. I am responsible for overseeing a crew of employees during the bi-annual shutdown to ensure the job is completed on time. I assist in maintaining inventory of the spare parts, creating repair orders, maintaining repair logs, creating maintenance schedules, and I help with training the employees of proper operation of the equipment. I also complete the monthly safety inspection check lists.
I diagnose and repair all aspects of small engine vehicles and equipment. I specialize in electrical diagnostics as well as engine overhauls but am not limited to just these duties. I have been trained in all repairs and maintenance procedures for several major companies. I am a red level technician for Honda motorcycle division and fully certified for Kawasaki. I have been trained for Husqvarna motorcycles, Arctic Cat, Polaris, and Bombardier recreational vehicles. I took the waste water from daily plant operations and ran it through heat exchangers to create distilled water and a product called masonex. The water was pumped back to the water treatment plant and the product was pumped to a storage tank where I overseen the filling of tankers for off site use.
I had to monitor and record the different stages of plant operation including the 500 lb. steam regulator, the above ground storage tank capacities, tank containment areas, the water treatment ponds associated with my plant, the air compressors for the mill, the barometric condenser, as well as stabilizing the intake of waste water and steam to the 3 story plant. Samples were taken and analyzed at each stage of the operation where I also maintained records for quality control.
Other duties included the upkeep of the plant as well as assisting with daily cleanup of the waste boiler. I also assisted with starting and shutting down the 4 boilers.
Due to the dangers of my job duties I received fire fighter training as well as containment procedures for dealing with dangerous chemicals. I received training in lock out procedures for maintenance,and developed good communication skills with other members of the crew.
The operation of heavy equipment was necessary for my job. I was certified to operate the fork lift, the man lift, the bobcat, and the water truck.
