For the past twelve years, I have been a boiler water technician.
My duties included treating clarified raw water from the Oconee River and return or reclaimed water from the mill process and reintroducing the water back into the boiler system with the use of demineralizers, filters, and various chemicals including phosphate, neutralizing amine, caustic, 2% and 4% acid, polymer etc. I used various tools to produce the purest water possible to produce steam to disperse throughout the papermill. I performed various tests to determine/verify the purity of the water including low and high range silica, phosphate, turbidity, ph, baumes, hardness, and chlorine to ensure the water at different stages were in the parameters. In addition to water testing, I was a heavy equipment operator (forklift, front-end loaders, dumpster trucks)
Material Handling, Stock/ Inventory control, Quality control, 2 ton press, CNC press operation, Blueprint reading, and crane operator
My hobbies include singing and playing the piano, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
