Proficiency in data analysis using Systat, Sigmaplot, SAS, ARCVIEW GIS, Foxpro, Access, and Excel
Experience with navigation using, topographic maps, GPS, Sherpa, and compass navigation
Ability to operate Motorboat, ATV, and 4WD vehicles.
Proficiency in identification of avian, herpetological, fish, mammal, insect, and plant species, by sight sound and using keys.
Experience with terrestrial field data collection including; color band re-sighting, nest searching, mist netting (passive and target), point counts, transects, spot mapping, herp and insect trapping.
Experience with vegetation data collection using standard methods including; point intercept, line intercept, and daubenmire. I have also used a densitometer and range finder on numerous occasions.
Experience with data collection in aquatic systems using standard methods including; electro-shocking of fish, numerous netting techniques for fish and insects and bug vacuuming.
