Responsible for providing training to new employees utilizing a variety of instructing and training methods in the areas of classroom instruction, court education curriculum training, illness management recovery curriculum training, case management and documentation, individual assessments, individual and group facilitation/coaching, coaching lesson plan development, data analysis, data reporting, and modeling appropriate staff and resident interactions. Assists in the development of court education curriculum, and implementation of program models to ensure residents are capable of passing a competency evaluation and returning to court to resolve their legal charges. Responsible for implementation of Illness Management Recovery curriculum to residents to provide them with information and skills to help them set and achieve personally meaningful recovery goals, and to learn about mental health disorder and strategies to decrease symptoms, and reduce relapses and hospitalizations. Implements resident's individualized behavior management plans to manage and reduce behaviors. When residents are in crisis, responsible for implementing appropriate agency-approved restraint techniques to prevent injury to the resident as well as others. Responsible for connecting with resident to develop a therapeutic relationship that ensures quality assessment and evaluation. Assists residents in establishing goals, assessing personal skills, environmental skills, and developing skills and supports they need, and to utilize those skills at optimal potential. Duties also include participating in service teams to provide documentation on individual success and satisfaction. Responsible for transporting residents to activities, and monitoring their behavior to ensure the environment is safe and secure. Provides input for program revisions as needed.
