I worked as a Barista/Barista Trainer at Starbucks Coffee Company for nearly 4 years. As a Barista at Starbucks, I provided customers with prompt service, exceptional beverages and food products, maintained a clean and comfortable store environment, and always ensured that the store ran smoothly. It was my duty to consistently act with integrity and knowledge in order to promote the true standards and values of Starbucks. I always maintained a calm demeanor during periods of high volume in order to create a pleasant work environment and to set a positive example for the rest of my coworkers and possible new-hires. I delivered legendary customer service to each and every customer not only to uphold Starbucks' standards, but in order to truly connect with the customer and build a relationship with him/her. As a Barista Trainer at Starbucks, it was my duty to positively reinforce successful performance and give respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. I trained the new-hires by walking them, step-by-step, through the procedures and rules of the store while explaining Starbucks requirements and expectations. I practiced with them individually and answered any questions they may have had. Working at Starbucks taught me outstanding customer service skills, how to work in stressful environments while staying calm, how to properly uphold the ompany's expectations and standards, as well as help me grow as an individual. I am extremely grateful that I had the privilege of working at Starbucks.
