I have spent one year in one of the busiest bars in Pasadena as a bar-back and head expediter for the kitchen. I have managed to thrive in a fast paced high pressure bar setting. I work closely with the bartenders and managers to make sure that the bar is run and kept up at high level. Cleanliness and exceptional customer service are a big part of what I do and believe in. Duties include changing and organizing kegs, stocking and restocking bars and liquor rooms, all while attending to customer needs and bartender needs. I know how to change soda machines and I am up to date on proper glass cleaning. Above all I am a fast learner with a great attitude and personality. I am reliable, hard working, a great addition to any team and good to have around any working atmosphere. I am always looking to learn more about the industry and learn how to help improve the workplace.
In the year that i have spent in the bar/restaurant industry i have managed to make myself a real part of the machine at Barneys. I am one of the few people with a set schedule because of my dependability and consistency. In a short time after i started working in the kitchen i have become the only scheduled "expediter." Meaning that when i started there wasn't a leader in the kitchen and a manager was always present. I have taken the place of a manager and I have a great rapport with all employees and managers.My ability to learn quickly and the consistency of my job performance was part of what put me above the other current employees. I can be trusted to lead in time of high pressure. I managed to do that all while just trying to do a good job and naturally falling into the position. As a bar-back I have become a permanent part of the schedule and have leaned all it takes to do the best job. i have been able to be depended upon by all bartenders in high pressure situations and in turn have been given a lot of knowledge and tips at being a bartender. I understand what it takes to thrive in a bar setting while having a great attitude and relationship with customers to keep them coming back to any establishment. Customer service and a good work ethic are important. I am a quick learner who is eager to step up to the next level so i can conquer and excel at this next challenge. I have a small learning curve and i am ready to learn, perfect and showcase my skills.

succesfully completed bartending mixology school. I managed to learn 80 drinks in 5 days. passed all of my mixing and timing tests perfectly.
