As a Banquet Manager I was responsible for running all events ranging from high class weddings to holiday brunches. This entailed discussing menu items and dietary concerns with the host and guests as well as effectively communicating with kitchen and banquet staff regarding customer allergies, dietary needs and other special requests. All the while providing exceptional customer service for our members and their guests. When running a banquet I ensure that food service runs seamlessly by pre-mapping the guests dinner selections, going over the timeline of the event with my staff beforehand, speaking with the host to ensure all needs are met before the event begins, and making sure to note all known allergens the food may posses before hand. Beginning at the San Luis Obispo country club as a busser and server, I soon became a banquet captain and within the year had accepted the position of Lead Banquet Captain.
