Responsible for clinic flow. Oversee and train technicians as needed. Scribe for both ophthalmologists and optometrists. Billing, claim coding and correcting billing errors. Insurance authorizations. Perform patient work-ups(vision screening, tonometry, pupil assessment, EOM, thorough and accurate patient history, administer eye drops). Diagnostic testing such as HVF, corneal topography, OCT ON/MAC). Lensometry, both auto and manual. Responsible for inventory of office and exam rooms and ordering supplies as needed. Maintain surgical instruments. Perform contact lens trainings with patients and demonstrate proper insertion and removal techniques as well as good lens hygiene. Triage patients over the phone and walk ins as needed. Quickly build trust and rapport with patients to ensure a good relationship between the patient and practice.
