I helped to take care of Pamella (my niece) since she was born until she turned 3 years old. My sister was around teaching me how to do everything, sometimes, I watched her by myself. I was responsible for her meals/bottles, putting her for naps, bathing her, playing, reading, singing, dancing, doing crafts, going to parks and libraries. I encouraged her to start crawling, walking, talking (Portuguese) and eating by herself.
I took care of Geovanna for few months, she was 2 years old when I started. I was responsible to pick her up from pre school, prepared her dinner/bottle, bathed her, read books and put her to sleep. I also helped organizing the house and making sure everything was clean before her mother got back home. It was a great part time job.
I was fully responsible for Mariany on the weekends. She was 1y and 7months old when I started. I was responsible to make her meals/snacks, play, read, go to the parks, change diapers, put for a nap and bath her as well. It was an amazing part time job experience.
I came to united states to be an au pair of twins boys. They were 4 months old when I started taking care of them. It was for sure an amazing experience. I used to work 45 hours per week and I also spend time with the host family/children on the week days night and weekends when I was free. I also watched them for my host family to go on dates. I was fully responsible for the twins' meals/snacks, going out to museums, parks, playdates, zoo, libraries, beaches and going with them to Broadview co-op preschool was a big challenge that I'm proud of. Parents and teachers worked together to provide an interesting and meaningful learning experience for the preschoolers. I drove the twins for 1 year and half all over Seattle. I had the freedom to be creative and go everywhere with them. My host family always trusted me as a driver.
I kept the twins stimulated, entertained and learning. I was always reading books to them, teaching sign language, Portuguese and English. I encouraged them to eat by themselves, to talk, to crawl, to walk, to sing and to dance. I also experienced traveling to Washington DC and Canada with them(family trip). I love the twins as they are mine. I still need to see them often and play with them. I have been with them for so long and I'm amazed how much they have grown and developed.
I currently work for an amazing family, I take care of Nicholas (2yo) and Maya (6yo). Maya and Nicholas are very energetic children and Im always glad to keep them entertained. Im responsible to make their meals/snacks, drop Maya off at school, pick her up, drive her to classes, go to parks, beaches, libraries, zoo, aquarium and mall. I put Nicholas for naps, he is potty trained, very talk active and smart. I read to him and play a lot. He loves to play with cars, trucks, water, sand and balls. I also teach him some Portuguese and some American sign language
The family just moved from Shoreline to Bellevue and I have been driving Maya to shoreline school and making my best to make the schedule work.
I also worked for that family in Renton for few weeks while they were trying to find a new house. I was at the grandmother's house with the grandparents at home and they will gladly be my reference as well.
