All throughout high school I was always playing a sport. My freshman year of high school I was a cheerleader for both football and basketball season. Sophomore year came around and I sadly did not make the cheer team. So the day I found out that I didn't make the team I went home and emailed the head football coach and asked him if it would be a possibility for me to come and try out for the team. A lot of the guys were very confused when I showed up to the first practice in the summer, but they were all really supportive about me being on the team. We went on to make it to the state championship that year and the year after. Shortly after the first time we went to the state championship, I learned the I was the first female in the state of Indiana to make it to the state championship not only once but twice. I had then went on to participate in a football camp called Football University. (FBU) I found out I was the first female to participate in this type of camp as well. FBU invited me to go to South Carolina for another camp of theirs. After South Carolina I was invited to go to Texas and participate in the National Combine. I was one of the lucky ones to meet some very great players and coaches. I was also lucky enough to be able to have a few interviews with Chad Ricardo. In my 4 years of high school I have done a lot but sadly my senior year we didn't make it to the state championship, but I do still have a lot of memories with the team and everyone else that I have met along the way and I wouldn't want to trade those memories for anything.
