I was raised in an impoverished neighborhood, with respect to monetary items, however, I was blessed with parents that always told me their is no secret to success, you just have to work harder and educate yourself in whatever you choose to do. The love of parents, while living in a neighborhood that was easy to stygmatize a young boy, became the driving force to overcome and exceed the statistical data that is a marketable sell for those that look for excusue's. Being motivated in every facet of my life and putting forth a work ethic work beyond every pasts supervisors dreams led me to work harder when i was used as an example for other employees. Understanding our economic situation, I was able to out-work and out-hustle fellow students and more talented athletes to receive a partial scholarship in both academics and athletics. Born and raised in Bakersfield, it was an honor enrolling in my hometown University, and participate on a highly touted NCAA Division I Wrestling program, and receive my degree from California State University, Bakersfield, in Finance and Political Science. Upon graduation, I started with local independent banks to take advantage of being a hometown employee, however in the mid-90's, financial industry began the Bank acquistion renaissance. After surviving two acquisitions I became the youngest Vice-President in the Central Valley, as a commercial & agriculture lending specialist for Wells Fargo Bank. Later, I attended law school and received my Juris Doctorate degree from Pacific School of Law while maintaining a full time banking career. After spending ten (10) years in banking, and the past eighteen (18) years in the legal profession, I am seeking a position that will incorporate my skill set, for a senior management position or legal counsel that coincides with my academic and professional career to the benefit of any company in need of a valued employee. I am a serious businessman, who has always welcomed technological advances, and never fear change but embrace different styles of management and organizational models. The mixture of providing legal and financial advice to large companies and millionaire individuals to negotiating various sales-purchase agreements. Dealing with profitable and successful companies and individuals motivated me to become educated in risk management. Representing my profession and more importantly my high interest finding a company in need of my ability is exciting to think about meeting with either a board or hiring committee to determine if I am the best fit for an organization in need.
The most beneficial post Graduate education I received, due to the course schedule's and total number of topics that are covered in the college. Learning the concept of collaring an interest rate with two to three global banks to insure the most competitive interest rate for our client. In addition, I have prepared countless sales/purchase agreements, vendor agreements, and unsure conformity to any regulatory compliance issues.
