Assists in managing the mortgage operations department. Promotes quality mortgage loan customer service and related activities. Assists in the development and implementation of residential mortgage operations objectives, policies and practices. Responsible for assisting in the hiring of openers, processors, closers, and post-closers. Assists with all aspects of mortgage operations when needed. Works with Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Bond/Down Payment Assistance loans. Develops and maintains needed policies and procedures to meet and monitor all compliance and regulation changes in the industry on an ongoing basis. Works with QC vendors to review loans during Post Closing to ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met. Assigns tasks to associates, staffs projects, tracks progress and updates managers, partners and clients as necessary. Works heavily with closers and post-closers to ensure proper closing procedures and documentation are used and oversees the clearing of pre-purchase deficiencies so loans are purchased in a timely manner. Became Assistant Manager of Mortgage Operations in October of 2014. Prior to that, I was the Processing Team Leader.
