I was selected as Social Studies Chair for grades 1-8.
Notable accomplishments include 2011 Teacher of the Year (Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators) as well as: School Governance Representative Appointed to team by Principal to collaborate on initiatives to develop curriculum, formulate strategic staffing plans, and identify monthly and annual budget requirements.
Teamed with Principal to present 2011-2012 budget to Central Office.
Grades 6-12 Coordinate schedules, logistics, special events, and fundraising activities for 12 sports programs with 200 total participants.
Prepared requests and oversee expenditures for annual budgets valued at $15,000.
Manage, hire, and release of coaches, track athlete eligibility, prepared grant proposals, and requisition issue, and inventory equipment and supplies.
MY Access! Grades 3-12 Established pilot project for prompt-driven, web-based instructional writing program, and subsequently implemented across grades 3-12.
Trained administrators, teachers, and students in system usage and capabilities Initial cohort has scored 1-1.5 points higher than peers and 5 won writing awards from University of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Metropolitan Alliance of Black Educators.
