I have worked at my present position with the city of Gatlinburg for the past ten years. I have been totally in charge of the trout raising , rearing facility at Herbert Holt Park for the past four months and previously were the Assistant Manager of the Park with previous employee, Danny Gray. I have been involved with the procurement, raising, medication and releasing of the trout all this time.
I have been on call for 24 hr a day since starting the job with a beeper, even to the extent of middle of the nights emergency calls.. This has been to keep the fish alive, maintain the water pumps and water flowing race ways. I have been faithful and diligent in my professional capacity at the trout farm of Gatlinburg. When emergencies have occurred with blockage of intake screens, temperature variations of water I have not hesitated in my decisions on what to do who to call or who to delegate specific needs to.
I am totally familiar with the operation and maintenance of the trout farm and also with the pumps which were installed several years ago. The operation of the oxygen system is very tempermintal and I have been able to keep the entire system going.
I have found it essential to keep my health and physical fitness in tack which is required for the work involved with this position.
I have been evaluated as able to accomplish the job at hand with ontime record, honesty and self-motivation . Morally and ethically sound and concerned about the welfare of those I serve. Consider the wellbeing and fulfillment of the other person as I would my own wife and children.
I am willing to do whatever is needed to maintain my knowledge and skills for my position as required.

Ability to plan, coordinate and assume responsibilty for all trout farming and restocking operations.
Prepare organize all records,
Oversee and administer program.
Familiar with illness and health of fish
Clean repair and maintaining of trout facility
Coordinate and release of fish.
Patrols streams and have license to police them.
Plans and participates in years of fishing tournaments and rodeos.
Liason with TWRA.
Compliance with all federal , state and local laws.
Assists with recreational programs and special events.
Maintenance of Parks of Gatlinburg. Mowing, cleaning, restoration of parks and seasonal decorations and flower care.
Although I have not received a four year degree, I believe I am the most qualified for this position due to my experience doing the job. My on-site education and motivation and fullfillment of all job requirements are my qualifications to submit this application.
I am a conscientious family man and resident of Sevier County. I serve the community for the future of my children and my own accomplishments and satisfaction in life.
